It was an extremely loud day at the plate for William Hampton (2024, Richmond Hill, GA) Friday going 4 for 4 with an RBI and a stolen base in his game versus Home Plate Chili Dogs 15U West. Playing up in this tournament, Hampton stood out as the best player on the field in both games I watched him play. At 14, Hampton is a really big kid and has some real projectable pop at the plate. Lower half is very active and explosive in his swing as he starts open and uses a big leg kick trigger. Hands drop a bit to start the upper half, but bat stays on plane and his hands are truly elite for his age. Bat speed stands out for a 14-year-old. Stepped on the mound the next game and dominated striking out 10 batters in 5 innings pitched. Sat in the upper 70’s and lower 80’s with the fastball and is sure to add some more velocity as he gets older and activates the lower half more. Really excited to watch Hampton grow into a really good player.

Reginald Austin (2022, Atlanta, GA) has always been an extremely fun player to watch and it was no different watching him Saturday. Austin delivered a double and a triple and 2 RBI's in his game versus the Gwinnet Thunder. The Vanderbilt commit stands out as one of the most well-rounded players on the field every time he plays as he is a true five-tool player with a huge upside. Played third base and had a really good showing. Showed a really strong arm and some athleticism and range to get to balls in the grass and get the out. Has a great hit tool and is coming into some more power as he continues to develop. Bat speed is elite and has a really good approach at the plate. Starts from a tall narrow stance with hands set pretty high and away from body. Gets into a really good slot at load and explodes from there. Can run as well, stole 3 bases in the following game. Really good pickup for Vanderbilt and could really make an impact there.

I am more and more impressed with Will Tippett (2022, Stone Mountain, GA) every time I see him. A switch-hitter with an extremely good swing from both sides of the plate that could definitely play at the next level. Tippett recorded 2 hits on the day Saturday with one of them being a really loud double. Saw Tippett from the left side Saturday but he  has also produced from the right side in the past when I have seen him. Has a really quick bat and a really good approach. Can hit to all fields with authority. Played short in this game and showed a really good arm and could get to balls in the hole. Whoever picks up Tippett will be getting a steal.




Charlie Condon (2021, Marietta, GA) had a really good showing at the plate Saturday recording two extremely loud doubles and 2 RBI's. Condon had probably the loudest contact of the tournament I have seen as he stroked a double high off the left field wall that almost left the yard. Condon’s other double was a seed down the left field line. The ball sounded different off Condon’s bat as he just continued to find barrels. Has a really projectable frame at 6-5, 195 pounds. Uses a bit of a toe tap trigger and has a really simple swing. Hands stay through the zone a long time and bat stays on plane extremely well. Could be a really nice player at the next level.


I really enjoyed watching Brian Garmon II (2022, Cumming, GA) work Sunday as he had one of the more dominant pitching performances I have seen so far in the tournament. Garmon worked extremely efficiently throwing only 56 pitches in his 6 innings of shutout ball. Recorded 4 strikeouts and didn’t allow a baserunner all game. Sat 82-83 mph on the fastball and showed a lot of movement with ability to hit corners. Got hitters to chase up a few times and really had success with fastballs up in the zone. Flashed a low 70’s curveball with good depth, could develop secondary stuff a little more. Really big kid with a simple, quiet motion. Could throw harder as he becomes more explosive. Has some really good stuff and showed his upside today. Should be a fun player to watch develop.

Dakota Crumbley (2022, Jackson, GA) is an uncommitted utility ballplayer from Strong Rock Christian School. Crumbley got his bat working when his club, Bullpen Redstitch 108 15U needed it the most, down by one with a runner on and one out in the bottom of the seventh, Friday at Brook Run. Crumbley stepped to the plate, 0 for 2 to that point, and unloaded on a 70 mph fastball to straight away centerfield for the two-run walk-off jack. At the plate, Crumbley uses a square stance, hands near his pec, and good balance with rhythm and tempo in the box. Crumbley has a good eye that tracks pitches well towards the plate and keen hand-eye coordination to make a lot of hard, barreled contact. Crumbley has good loft to his swing and leverage to hit balls square with the barrel with carry. The homerun displayed that his above average raw power plays in games and that he has a good approach at the plate with aggression. Dakota ended the weekend hitting .333 with six total bases and two RBI's. A centerfielder, Crumbley is a good athlete with advanced underway speed and good reads of the ball off the bat. He has a good glove and is able to catch everything hit his way. Lastly, Crumbley is a good athlete and has speed not only in centerfield but out of the box, and on the bases as well.

Kaden Brown (2023, Fairburn, GA) is a 6-2, 225 pound, strong and large framed first baseman and pitcher from Sandy Creek High School. A sophomore in the fall, Brown showcased his hit tool throughout the weekend for his club Home Plate Chili Dogs 15U Dyal, hitting at a .429 clip with four extra base hits, including a triple and two homeruns. At the plate, Brown stands tall with good balance, rhythm, and timing in the box. Brown uses his strength to generate a lot of bat speed and leverage in his swing, with good hand-eye coordination which leads to a load of hard-hit contact. Kaden can handle wood and looks extremely comfortable in the box with a plan to hit. A good athlete, Brown moves well for his size, and works well around the bag with smooth athletic actions and feel for the glove around the bag. A good ballplayer, Brown has tremendous confidence that his teammates feed off of. Kaden’s performance this weekend in Georgia is not too much of a surprise as he is now hitting .328 through twenty-eight games in 2020. What makes Brown most valuable is that he connects most with runners on, having now driven in thirty-four runs through twenty-eight games.

Connor Harris (2022, Watkinsville, GA) is a 6-1, 160 pound, athletically built righthanded pitcher and utility infielder from North Oconee High School. Suiting up for his club Team Elite 15U Prime this weekend in Georgia, Harris shined on the mound and at the plate all weekend. On the mound, Harris appeared in relief twice and really displayed his ability to get his team back into the dugout with his advanced two-pitch mix of a fastball and curveball. Harris’ fastball has life, while he has the ability to ramp it up into the low 80’s. Harris mixes in a curveball in the high 60’s with good shape and the ability to regularly locate it for strikes. Harris has good control of his repertoire and filled the zone over a sixty-percent clip. A good athlete, Harris has keen mechanics on the mound and at the plate where he generates bat speed and has a short stroke which lead to a lot of hard-hit contact to the gaps. While starting games in the infield, Harris did his part at the plate and then some, as he hit a ridiculous .833 through three games with five singles and three runs scored. Harris moves well out of the box and on the bases as well as he made things happen on more than one occasion. A baseball player by all sense of the phrase, Harris is hitting .300 through twenty-one games in 2020 and has a 0.00 earned-run-average and twenty punchouts through twenty-four innings pitched.

Braxton Brooks (2023, Monroe, GA) is a 6-0, 180 pound, catcher, third baseman, and outfielder from Walnut Grove High School. All Braxton did this weekend in Atlanta was hit as he finished the five-game slate with a .818 average, with two doubles and a triple, while scoring seven times, and driving in seven as well. Brooks regularly hit third for Team Elite 15U National and showcased the ability to use the whole field with strong, hard consistent contact and a sound approach. Brooks showcases loose wrists through the zone with feel for wood and generates results with carry off the bat. On the bases, Brooks, a good athlete, is a definite green-light guy with good instinct and aggression. In the field, Brooks plays with confidence and has the ability to make all plays regardless of where he is penciled in. With the eye-catching performance this weekend, Brooks is now hitting .543 through seventeen games in Georgia this year, with almost as many extra base hits as singles, while getting on base two-thirds of the time.

Caleb Lavallee (2023, Mableton, GA) is a 6-0, 190 pound catcher, first baseman, and outfielder from Whitefield Academy. A consistently reliable backstop for his club 643 DP Bishop, Caleb stepped up at the plate this weekend from the four-hole as he consistently made hard contact while staying short through the hitting zone with strength and feel for the barrel. Through five games this weekend, Caleb hit .583 with four extra base-hits including a big-fly. Behind the plate, Lavallee is a leader, with evident baseball acumen, and the ability to receive pitches with a strong hand and a low setup behind the plate. Lavallee does a nice job staying quiet behind the plate, with quickness and agility out of his setup to make strong throws to bases, or field balls in the infield. A sophomore in the fall, Lavallee, is only cracking the surface to his full potential, which is a scary thought. Through twenty-four games this summer, Lavallee is now hitting .396 with fourteen runs-batted-in and eight extra base-hits.

Bo Meeks (2023, Griffin, Ga.) is a 5-foot-10, 150-pound righthanded pitcher from Union Grove High School near his hometown. Appearing on the mound for two starts for Hardknox Orioles 2023, Meeks stole the show both times as he came out of the gate aggressive using a two-pitch mix of a fastball in the mid-70’s and a curveball in the mid-60’s with slurvy break and some depth when he gets it right. Meeks consistently got ahead of hitters and mixing his pitches in all counts making himself highly effective on both occasions. When all was said and done, Meeks dominated through seven and two-third innings where he allowed one hit, struck out eleven and did not allow an earned run all weekend. Meeks best performance came on Sunday afternoon at Kennesaw Mountain High School where he held East Cobb Angels 15u to one hit, striking out six in the complete game one-hitter. Meeks is a good athlete and fields his position well which he pairs with strong throws with carry in the infield.

Michael Johan Rivera Soto (2022, Comerio, PR) is a 5-10, 175 pound, right-handed pitcher, who played very well on both sides of the ball this weekend with his club, Venom PR. The sixteen-year-old righthanded-pitcher and first baseman took the mound twice this weekend racking up six strikeouts on each occasion without allowing an earned run through seven innings of work. Soto displayed good athleticism on the mound as he has good balance through release, and gets over his front side well, consistently releasing his repertoire from a three-quarter slot. One could argue Soto’s best outing came on Sunday at Milton Pro as he went the first four innings of a run-rule shortened contest. Soto struck out six over four innings filling the zone at a sixty-percent clip. Soto filled the zone with a fastball in the high 70’s with life and two-seam run, and a curveball in the mid 60’s with depth and good deception off his fastball consistently keeping his opponent off balance and out in front. When not on the mound, Rivera played all over the field, and helped his case in the box hitting .375 this weekend with a home run, six RBI's, and five runs scored. A good athlete, Soto moves well all over the diamond with keen acumen and aggression making him a headache for the defense. A lefthander both on the mound and in the box, Rivera-Soto put on quite a show during his first Perfect Game appearance of his amateur career,
making him one to follow headed into the fall and next spring. A very high-ceiling prospect with ability to help his team win on the mound and with his bat.

Ninth Inning Royals 16U Honeycutt teammates, Matthew Navarro (2022, Dunwoody, GA) and Ryan McTighe performed all weekend leading the Royals to an appearance in the championship game at East Cobb Monday afternoon. Navarro, a lefthanded pitcher and outfielder from St. Pius X in Brookhaven, stands at 5-10, and pitched twice for his club striking out three in four and a third innings pitched. Navarro gets his fastball into the high 70’s while mixing a curveball in the high 60’s with depth and some bottom. Navarro really excelled at the plate this weekend as he hit .615 through six games which included four multi-hit games. Navarro has a short, clean bat path at the plate which leads to a lot of hard-hit contact to the gaps. Matthew also hit with runners on, recording five RBI's during his team’s path to the finals.

Navarro’s teammate, Ryan McTighe, plays shortstop for Ninth Inning, and already ranks inside the top fifty shortstops in the 2022 Georgia class. An incoming junior at Marist, McTighe pitched for his club Sunday at Alpharetta Legion, lasting through an out in the sixth. Throughout the start, McTighe mixed a fastball in the mid 80’s with a curveball in the mid 70’s with some tilt and slurvy depth. Ryan filled the zone at nearly a seventy-five percent clip punching out seven, and not walking a batter. Even more impressive is that he did not walk anyone on the day improving his streak of scoreless innings this year to twenty-six. At the plate, uses his 5-11 frame to generate a lot of torque and power with his hips to shoot pitches into the gap with carry and leverage. Hitting .400 this weekend in the middle of the Royals lineup, McTighe reached base in every game ending with a .500 on-base-percentage, and five runs scored, on top of eight driven in. A consistent performer at the bat as well, Ryan is hitting .317 thorough twenty-five games in 2020 for his club.

Patrick McCavitt is a 6-1, 180 pound, middle-infielder from Milton High School in his hometown. A junior in the fall, McCavitt plays the six-hole for the Georgia Bombers 16U squad and hit very well from the middle of their lineup all weekend. Through six games, Patrick hit .500, recording thirteen total bases and eight stolen bases from the top of the Bombers lineup. With noticeable tools, McCavitt is patient at the plate with a level to high swing path that leads to hard, line-drive contact to the gaps. A good athlete, McCavitt gets out of the box well and displayed underway speed on the bases with aggressiveness and awareness, and present ability to make things happen. In the field, McCavitt has sound defensive actions with first step quickness and good anticipation and range, while being able get to all balls hit in the infield with sound glovework. McCavitt’s arm profiles to short as it continually displays strong, accurate throws with carry through the bag. A ballplayer, McCavitt is hitting .311 through twenty-nine games in 2020, with five extra base hits, and almost a .400 on-base-percentage.

Tyler Chatham (2022, Douglasville, GA) is a 5-9, 161 pound lefthanded pitcher from South Paulding High School. A junior in the fall, Chatham was excellent on the mound for his club East Cobb Braves Butler Blue on Friday at South Cobb High School as he went the complete game, seven innings, scattering two hits and recording an impressive thirteen strikeouts on the way to an early tournament win for his club. Needing just 91 pitches to complete the outing, Tyler filled up the zone at a seventy-percent clip, and mixed his fastball up to 79 with life and bore, and a curveball with depth in the low 60’s. His two-pitch mix lead to a ton of swing and miss on the day as he regularly got ahead of hitters all afternoon. Chatham is crafty by all means of the word and works with a good pace and tempo on the mound. He has rhythm and balance in his mechanics, gets out over his front side with plenty of flexibility and extension out front. A consistent performer at Perfect Game events this year, Chatham has yet allowed an earned run through sixteen and two-thirds innings, striking out twenty-two over that time, only walking five.

Recent Churchill High School graduate, Cam Greener (2020, Livonia, MI) suited up for Precision Patriots-Flohr this weekend in Atlanta and hit consistently all weekend ending with a .667 average through three games. Greener has good strength and athleticism with a 5-11 frame. In the box, Greener continually got himself into fastball counts and did not miss, making hard hit contact to all fields. Greener also left the yard twice, showcasing plenty of raw power and leverage in his swing. A good athlete, Greener moved well on the bases with acumen and aggressiveness. At the hot-corner Greener made the routine plays with sound defensive actions and confidence. Greener pairs his solid glovework with strong throws around the infield with carry through the bases. A good athlete, Greener put on quite a show this weekend, putting an exclamation point his first event appearance of the year after hitting .313 in seven games last year.

Cory Lee (2020, Loganville, GA) is a 5-11, 160 pound utility ballplayer from South Gwinnett High School, who suits up for his club, D-Bat Elite 2020. A Chattahoochee Valley CC commit, Lee received Most Valuable Player honors this weekend as he hit .667 through five games with six hits, six RBI's, and five runs scored. Lee reached base in every game displaying patience, rhythm and timing in the box and keen mechanics that led to plenty of hard-hit contact to all fields. In the field, Lee has good anticipation and first step quickness which helps him not let any balls hit out his way from falling. He has feel for the leather and appears confident all over the field. Lee also has a good arm with accuracy and most around the bag with carry and strength. An exceptionally talented ballplayer, Lee ranks inside the top fifty for outfielders in the 2020 class, making him a name to remember come next June and the MLB Draft.

Austin Hendricks (2021, Thomaston, GA) enjoyed a standout weekend on the mound and in the box in the 17U Southeast Select Championship. From Upson-Lee High School, Hendricks put together a four-inning, nine-strikeout complete game in his one start and contributed five hits in seven at-bats at the plate. In this look, Hendricks went 3 for 3 and showed a short, consistent stroke from the left side for his Home Plate Chili Dogs 17U Argila Team. The 5-10, 160 pounder uses an early, medium stride to create tension in his front hip while simultaneously drawing his quick hands into a deep load, slowly lowering them as he leans out over the plate before launch. Hendricks gets his foot down early and allows his inside-out bat path to work to the ball and squared it up in each appearance Saturday night. Listed as a middle infielder, Hendricks brings a lot to the table and is an uncommitted athlete to keep tabs on this year.

Caleb Lavallee (2023, Atlanta, GA) had a huge day Sunday in the first two rounds of the 15U Southeast Select Championship playoffs. The catcher came up with two hits in the first game, scoring a run and doubling to help push his 6-4-3 DP Bishop squad into round two. There, he strung together three hits, including a loud, long, and high home run that disappeared into the branches beyond the left field wall on Field Two of the East Cobb Complex, and a double that missed being a second bomb by just a few feet. Lavallee has a large frame at 6-0, 190 pounds with developing strength in his forearms and a powerful lower half, which he capitalizes on with a spread stance that has knee-bend to it. From his low, wide base, Lavallee accelerates to the pitch with a compact cut that showed plenty of length through contact. The catcher helped fuel 6-4-3 Bishop to a 17 to 5 win over the club’s organizational rival, the 6-4-3 Cougars 15U Pedraza team, and closed the weekend batting .583. From Whitefield Academy, the uncommitted Lavallee has the look of a power bat that proved to be capable behind the plate.


Kyler Mayo (2023, Cleveland, GA) joined Lavellee near the top of the batting leaders for the 15U competition, recording six hits in nine at-bats for the TG Dbacks 15U National. Batting cleanup in this contest, Mayo has a medium, 6-0, 150 pound frame with some longer limbs that leave him plenty of room to grow. Beginning with a wide base, Mayo starts his swing with a serious weight shift towards the catcher before employing a knee lift that almost reaches his belt to move forward. Mayo was able to impact the ball out in front on an inside pitch in the clip above, as his barrel levels out from its vertical orientation before contact well. The White County student showcased some solid, synchronized movement patterns as he rotates and works the bat through the zone. The uncommitted hitter would go on to add a single to the opposite field later in the game as well.


Ethan Sutton (2023, Acworth, GA) started on the mound for the 15U Yankees Baseball Club and displayed a live arm Sunday. The righthanded pitcher topped at 89 mph with his fastball Sunday, and the pitch would sometimes have some solid arm side run and sink to it. Sutton experienced some trouble with his command, but he was visibly working to make adjustments as he pitched. The Allatoona High School attendee shied away from throwing his offspeed pitches, but he flashed good feel for the changeup and the ability to spin a sharp curve in his initial warmup before the first inning. His delivery is athletic and smooth, and he throws with real intent, which bodes well for his stuff in the future. Ranked as the third-best third baseman in his class from Georgia, Sutton’s arm speed and 6-2, 192 pound frame are very projectable and he possesses a talented, uncommitted arm that will produce real heat in time.


Daniel Jackson (2023, Atlanta, GA) was tasked with tangling with a talented Team Elite Prime 15U lineup Sunday night and used three distinct offerings to keep their bats off balance. Jackson was comfortable throwing to either side of the plate, which allowed him to pair his changeup with the outside fastball and complement his inside fastball with his deceptive curveball. The projectable 5-11, 160 pound righthanded pitcher repeated his online delivery and makes efficient use of his frontside. The fastball, which sat in the upper 70's and low 80's, displayed some running action at times, mirroring the little bit of tail that he often imparted to his changeup, an offering that consistently crossed in the range of 73-75 mph. Jackson’s body will continue to mature in the next few years and that will only improve his stuff, and one can expect the North Springs Charter student to take full advantage of that uptick, as he has present pitchability.


Brysen Duncan (2021, Newnan, GA) exhibited some gap-to-gap pop for the Home Plate Chili Dogs 17U Dombrowsky this weekend. In two games, Duncan went 5 for 6 with two doubles. Duncan has a high handset and a narrow base at the plate with a swing that results in some natural loft and loud barrels. The lefthanded bat that throws righthanded has a wiry 6-0, 150 pound body that looks as if it may continue to add some weight in time as he will not turn 18 until next March. While Duncan’s hands become static at the top of his load, he exhibits solid hand speed that consistently squared incoming pitches and turned them around for extra-base hits. Duncan is an above average baserunner with speed, and in one instance, used that tool to take third after a dirt ball evaded the catcher just long enough for him to advance. The athletic Newnan High School student is listed as a outfielder and second baseman and remains uncommitted to this point.

Roman Keister (2030, Dade City, FL) Could not miss the barrel this weekend tallying 6 hits including 2 triples and 4 RBI. Starts the load early and controls his body well, the up the middle approach really plays in game. Also worked from off the mound for an inning and picked up a punch out.  Colton Russo (2030, Coral Springs, FL) Showed off the power burning outfielders all weekend. 5 hits including two triples that carried over the CF and RF heads. Has a good understanding about using the lower half in the swing and the bat to ball skills really impressed.  Karson Blakney (2030, St. Augustine, FL) Made his impact in a big way this week, collecting the win in the quarterfinals. In his outing he went 5 shutout innings and struck out 5 while only allowing 2 hits. Worked in the mid 70s with the FB and topped out at 78. Also produced on offense driving in 5 RBI on 4 hits. ...

Welcome to another week of Perfect Game Small School baseball — and if you're looking for clarity at the top, you've come to the wrong place. Across all three classifications, the No. 1 spot is very much an open question, and nobody is sleeping comfortably right now. In NCAA Division II, Pittsburg State is stumbling at precisely the wrong moment, leaving the door cracked wide open for hungry challengers to come knocking. In the NAIA, defending national champion LSU Shreveport has dropped four straight and suddenly looks far more vulnerable than a program of their pedigree ever expects to be. And in NCAA Division III, the race for the top ranking is less a competition and more a ten-car pileup of elite programs, none of whom have done enough to pull away — and all of whom have done plenty to deserve it. Another week of JUCO baseball and another week full of wins for No. 1 ranked Johnson County . The Cavaliers have won 18 games in a row and have swept through the Jayhawk Conference to this point, setting a new school home run record along the way. Walters State returns to the top 5 this week on the strength of a 12-game winning streak. Both McLennan and Pearl River are coming off of undefeated weeks and look like strong top 10 caliber teams, while Midland (now 30-3) continues to climb in the rankings for the third consecutive week. For the first time all year this ranking will feature 4 California schools as Palomar joins Ohlone, Fresno City and Santa Ana in the JUCO rankings. Another pair of weeks has gone by this high school season and with that we have another High School Top-50 Update. Southern states are within a few weeks of the end of the season while some northern states are just getting started this week. Through the end of the spring, we will be bringing you updates to the Top-50 along with state rankings updates coming soon. For the first time in 2026, we have a new #1 in the country as Orange Lutheran (CA) takes over the top spot after winning the NHSI. Venice (FL) came in second place at the NHSI after a thrilling game against Orange Lutheran and comes in at #2. Previous #1 team in the country St. John Bosco (CA) rounds out the top-3 and will have a big showdown against Orange Lutheran starting tonight. Barbe (LA) boasts a 26-1 record and comes in at #4 while Corona (CA) continues to string together wins and holds down the #5 spot in this update....

Midseason Awards  Perfect Game Midseason Player of the Year:  Landon Hairston, OF, Arizona State  The season sophomore outfielder Landon Hairston is putting together is generational, even amongst the Hall of Fame talent Arizona State has fielded over the years.  Hairston, the 5-11/195 sophomore outfielder from Queen City, AZ has his club on track for another postseason appearance and they will make plenty of noise in the Big 12 regular season.  To put things in perspective on Hairston’s season, he is currently 5th in the nation in batting average, 3rd in hits, 8th in hits per game, tied for 2nd in home runs, tied for 5th in runs scored and is 4th in runs batted in so far.  He holds a batting average of .469 while slugging 1.027 and reaching base over half the time with an OBP of .551.  Hairston walks more than he strikes out and has 12 doubles, 17...

March 31st Perfect Game/Co-Players of the Week:  Landon Hairston, OF, Arizona State  The Arizona State Sun Devils (20-8) went (3-2) last week and now sit at No. 18 in our latest Top 25 poll.  They are proving that they are legitimate Big 12 contenders and Landon Hairston is making a strong case for National Player of the Year at the halfway point in the season.  The 5-11/195 sophomore outfielder from Queen City, AZ is putting up such loud numbers that they are almost hard to fathom.  In five games last week, the lefthanded hitter collected 12-hits in 19 Abs, scoring 13 runs on 6 walks, a double, 5 home runs and he drove in 11 runs on his own.  For the season, he has put together a slash line of .468/.991/.553 with 12 doubles, 15 round trippers, 45 RBIs, a 12:18 strikeout-to-walk ratio and he has swiped 8 bags so far.  It has been a special year for the...
