The historic Iowa Spring League kicked off on Saturday morning in Marion, Iowa. For 25 years and counting, the best prep players in the state of Iowa have come together to play in front of scouts and recruiters alike. This year was no different, as we saw dozens of pro scouts flock to Prospect Meadows to watch these talented prospects compete and showcase their skills. In the first weekend alone, we had nine players attend that are ranked within the top-300 in their respective classes, and over 20 players who currently hold Division-I commitments. Multiple states throughout the country were represented on opening day, with players traveling from as far as Michigan and North Carolina for the opportunity to play in the League.

He attacked the zone all game and showed great feel for his offspeed, as he was comfortable landing the curveball in any count. Zahner would also go on to score the game-winning run in the third inning after leading off with a walk.
