SE Elite Spring Champ. Scout Notes

Cruz Paul (2025, Acworth, Ga.) is a very intriguing right-hander who was on the hill Friday night for Georgia Bombers Marucci. Paul worked with an overall fluid operation as he stayed under control throughout while filling up the zone. The fastball jumps out of hand as he worked it to both sides of the dish and was up to 83 mph early in his outing. He proved to have good command of the breaking ball as well with it showing late depth. The righty missed barrels and proved to be efficient in his work. In three innings tossed, he struck out six and only walked one without giving up a hit. Paul still has some things to clean up from a mechanical standpoint but it is hard not to think what is possible with his athleticism and smooth arm action.
