Lou D’Alessio (2024, Red Bank, N.J.) has been a consistent performer on the circuit in various PG events around the country for some time now. The athletically-built OF/3B hit .875 (7-for-8) for the weekend with four extra-base hits and a whopping 2.784 OPS for his Mid-Atlantic Ghost squad that made a deep run into the playoffs at the 14U portion of the Mid-Atlantic Qualifier. The right-handed hitting D’Alessio shows advanced bat-to-ball skills and an innate ability to find the barrel, despite some complexity to his swing. The Red Bank, N.J. native shows good adjustability with his hands and high-level pitch recognition to seemingly find the barrel where the pitch is thrown. The versatile defender shows good instincts and range at all three outfield spots, while also showing enough athleticism and arm strength to man the hot corner. D’Alessio will continue to be a name to monitor over the course of these next few years as he continues to add more strength and physically mature.
