There’s a lot to like when it comes to left-hander Noah Franco (2025, Downey, Calif.) and though he’s listed as a primary outfielder, there’s serious upside on the bump for the 6-foot-3, 170-pound California native. He got the start on the mound for the Canes National club and didn’t disappoint the handful of college recruiters in attendance, showing a fast left arm stroke, near limitless projection and a barrage of strikes with the makings of three pitches.

Franco has already made a quality jump since my last viewing which came this past fall at the Freshman WWBA in Panama City where he worked in the 76-80 mph range, though you knew it was only a matter of time before the velocity began to jump. Well, that projection has already started to come to fruition as Franco lived comfortably in the low-80s, running the fastball into the mid-80s while peaking at 86 mph with a short and rather fast arm stroke through the back. He mixed in a 2-seamer at 80 mph but after a barreled single in the first inning, it was almost only 4-seam fastballs which still showed some quality life to it, diving under bats some in route to punching out 5 in 3 2/3 innings pitched.
