14u WWBA Scout Notes: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3

Konnor Griffin (2025, Florence, Miss.) continues to show as much upside with the bat as he has shown in the right arm. It’s hard to think that a 14-year-old who throws 90 mph could be a better prospect with the bat, but with the way Griffin is going it would be hard to argue any other way. After hitting a bomb in game two to follow up a multi-hit performance in game one, he has done nothing but collect a hit in each game. On Sunday he launched his second home run with a shot to left field to kickstart the Knights Knation offense with a two-run blast. Griffin is able to create so much extension with his long levers that the ball seemingly carries forever off his barrel.

Dayson Griffis (2025, Baxley, Ga.) got the ball for TBT Ballers and was throwing darts in the first inning, sitting 86-88 mph and touching 89 mph. Griffis went to the breaking ball early and often in the outing throwing it at 70 mph in the first inning with 11-5 shape and collecting multiple swings and misses. The fastball eventually settled in the low- to mid-80s while the curveball was mostly 67-68 mph with the shape. Griffis has a quick shoulder helping create jump out of the hand as he would go four-plus innings racking up eight strikeouts with a WHIP of .46 for the outing.
