Showing tremendous pitchability, and a steely competitiveness, Gavin Hasche (2023, Parker, Colo.) led the Slammers Duman to a huge victory this morning. Going 6 2/3 innings, on 103 total pitches, the uncommitted right-hander gave up 5 hits, no runs, one walk while striking out 7 hitters on the day. Listed at 6-foot-1 and 150 pounds, Hasche is long and lean but displayed wiry strength and resilience as he maintained his stuff beginning to end. He maximizes his delivery with a quick arm and explosive core, showcasing a fastball that sat 83-86 and topped at 87 several times. He locates the fastball well and strategically elevated the pitch to induce quite a bit of swing-and-miss. His main secondary pitch was his mid-70s slider that had a sweeping shape and continued to bite through the strike zone. Hasche visually competed, recognized the pivotal moments in the game and delivered his best pitches in those moments.
