Spring Frost Scout Notes

Drew Wesolowski
Christian Doty (2026, Olive Branch, Miss.) is one of the top bats in his class and he proved that even further this weekend. The Germantown Giants prospect stands at 6-foot tall and is lean but has plenty of room to fill out while being mature from an athleticism standpoint. In 13 at-bats, the right-handed hitter racked up six base knocks, including a triple. He also flashed some speed on the paths while stealing five bags. For good measure, he also flashed advanced skills on the bump. The right-hander was up to 82 mph and proved to have feel for a breaking ball. In six innings pitched, he struck out six. Doty has all the makings of a multiple tool prospect down the road, and he will be a must follow as he enters his high school career next year.

The right-handed hitter tallied up an event best seven hits, as he seemed to find a barrel in every at-bat. Not only did he square it up, but he also proved to have some thump in the bat as well. Glasspoole had three doubles on the weekend, and it is easy to think that with some physical growth, those shots in the gap will start to leave the yard. He finished the weekend off with six rbi and an OPS of 1.125.
