PR Jupiter Qualifier Scout Notes: Day 1-2

Five Star starting pitcher for the morning slot was Gabriel Rolon (2022, Manati, P.R.) who is a well put together athlete that has some upside on the bump. He ran his fastball up to 85 over his three innings of work and pounded the glove side with the pitch. He has a compact delivery with little extra movement that make it easy to repeat. The righty uses good rhythm that helps utilize his athleticism. The uncommitted senior paired the heater with an 11/5 shaped curveball that has good depth and solid shape to go three hitless/scoreless innings to preserve the win.


In an anticipated match up of arms at Roberto Clemente Stadium, Luis Otero (2022, Bayamon, P.R.) and Jorhan Laboy (2022, Humacao, P.R.) did not disappoint.
