Missouri commit Drew Dickerson (2024, Lake Winnebago, Mo.) put together a very solid day at the plate in the 6-5 loss for Us Nationals 16u Scout. Dickerson will catch your eye out at shortstop, standing at 6-foot-4. He’s uber athletic for his size and makes all the plays necessary to stick at shortstop for a while. The footwork on grounders is clean and he throws well from different arm slots. The bat is about as projectable as they come. Dickerson still has room to mature into the long, lean frame which will only increase the amount of power that the Missour native creates. He swings with controlled violence and showed feel for the barrel in the loss, crushing a double into the opposite field. Really like everything we saw out of him today and the amount of room he still has to grow in the game. Keep an eye on this one in the coming years.
