14u WWBA Scout Notes: Day 1

Jordan Steiger (2027, New York, N.Y.) really settled in after dealing with some traffic in the first inning. After surrendering a pair of walks that led to a run the young right handed strung together _ innings to keep the game tight and allow him a chance to climb back in it offensively. The fastball got up to 81 mph as he used it as his primary weapon and it proved to be effective, getting weak contact when he was able to get up in the count. Off of the fastball he went to an upper 60’s to low 70’s breaking ball that showed two plane breaking action as a way to keep hitters from sitting dead red on the fastball.
