Coming off a 40-win season and an NCAA Regional appearance, Head Coach Chris Lemonis and his staff are bringing in their highest ranked recruiting class via Perfect Game since taking the reins in 2019. The Bulldogs bring in 12 recruits in the 2025 class including five PG All Americans with three of them hailing from in-state. Hard throwing right-hander Landon Harmon leads the class with his mid-to-high-90s fastball and power breaking ball as the No. 1 ranked pitcher in the Mississippi state class. PG All-Americans Jacob and Joseph Parker from Purvis High School in south Mississippi bring their talents to Starkville as the No. 1 ranked outfielder and shortstop in the PG state class. Catchers Trent Grindlinger (California) and Peter Mershon (South Carolina) bring their talents behind the plate as the No.1 and No. 5 ranked backstops in the PG 2025 class.

The Bulldogs will feature a revamped roster in 2025 with 11 players from the 2024 squad drafted in the Major League Baseball Draft. Recruiting Coordinator and Assistant Coach Jake Gautreau hit the recruiting trail hard looking to replace the entire 2024 opening weekend rotation who were selected in the MLB Draft. The Bulldogs bring in four highly touted primary pitchers ranked in the Top 500 along with shortstop John Bingham out of Kentucky who has been up to 95 mph on the mound. Right-handers Richie Swain (Missouri), Parker Rhodes (Indiana) and left-hander Maddox Miller (Mississippi) join Harmon (Mississippi) to bolster the staff for Pitching Coach Justin Parker.

On the offensive side of the ball, catchers Charlie Wortham (Missouri) and Tanner Beliveau (Mississippi) will be joined by shortstop Gabe Boyd (Tennessee) to round out the 2025 class. The eight position players brought in will look to bolster a lineup that finished in the middle of the pack in the SEC Offense Rankings in 2024. Lemonis and his staff have been solid up the middle on defense after finishing 3rd in fielding percentage in the SEC a year ago and stick to that formula with this recruiting class. Four catchers, three shortstops and a centerfielder join the Bulldogs to carry on the strength up the middle on defense.
