BURLINGTON, IA - 2025 Perfect Game Softball Toys 4 Tots Fundraiser One Day, December 7, 2025. Kicking off the holiday season, six teams participated in this one day, 3 game guarantee tournament in the 18u Division. We would like to thank those that donated a toy, and know that they will be distributed to area underprivileged children through a local charity organization. Following are some of the top performers from the weekend.

Earning Tournament MV-Pitcher was Jolee Strohmeyer (2026 Dubuque, IA), a RHP/UTIL with tournament champion Lady Expos Blue. Strohmeyer shows hitters a consistent and repeatable motion and delivery with good use of the legs in the drive phase, and a quick and aggressive arm whip. Working with a six pitch mix of fastball, change-up, rise, drop, curve and screw, Strohmeyer topped out at 60 mph, and showed good movement  as she worked her rise and curve just out of the zone for several swing and miss attempts. In her nine innings of work she struck out 21, gave up six hits, walked two and didn’t allow an earned run, finishing with a 0.00 ERA and 0.89 WHIP. At the plate, Strohmeyer collected 4 hits with a double and home run, scored three runs and knocked in five, finishing with a .444 batting average. Strohmeyer, who is a recent Lewis University commit, will not have long to wait for her opportunity to play at the next level. Scheduled to graduate in early January, Strohmeyer will join her Lewis University Flyers teammates just after the first of the year and begin her college softball career in February, as the Flyers open the 2026 season. Good-luck young lady.

Earning MVP honors was Julia Roth (2026 Dubuque, IA), a RHH/UTIL for tournament champion Lady Expos Blue. Roth sets up in a parallel stance, staying tall and using a lean into the back hip for weight transfer. She utilizes a stride for timing and to gain separation, before showing good bat speed, with an aggressive attack angle through the zone, finishing with good extension, generating power and lift. Roth picked up six hits on the day that included a double and two home runs, she scored seven runs and collected seven rbi’s, finishing with an impressive .857 batting average. In the circle, this University of Iowa commit was as  equally impressive in striking out 21 in her eight innings of work, which included a four inning, 11 strikeout no-hitter during pool play.  Topping out at 62 mph, Roth closes the distance on hitters, utilizing a leap in the drive phase as she worked hitters with a five pitch bag of fastball, change-up, rise, drop and curve. Moving the ball around the zone, throwing to both sides of the plate, Roth gave up 3 hits, walked one and did not allow an earned run to finish with a 0.00 ERA and 0.50 WHIP.

Other top performers included Lauren Harbison (2025 Henry, IL), a two-way player for tournament finalist Starved Rock Bandits. At the plate, hitting from the right side, Harbison sets up slightly open and into her legs, with a slight hinge at the waist. Utilizing a toe touch to stride, for weight transfer and as a timing mechanism, Harbison showed the ability to work the ball to all fields as she recorded a tournament leading seven hits for the day. Driving the ball gap to gap, Harbison collected 3 doubles, scored seven runs and knocked in two from her lead-off spot, finishing with a .700 batting average. n the circle, working with a fastball, change-up, rise, drop,curve and screw, the RHP sat down 17 batters via strikeout in her six innings of work, while topping out at 62 mph.  Harbison gave up six hits, walked three and allowed 1 earned run. The current Illinois Valley Community College athlete ended the day with a 1.20 ERA and 1.50 WHIP.

Sophia Miller (2026 Peosta, IA) is a MIF for tournament champion Lady Expos Blue. Miller settles into the box, staying tall, in a slightly open stance with her hands high. Utilizing a stride to gain separation and timing, Miller has a smooth easy swing, getting the barrel to the ball in quick fashion, working with an aggressive bat path. Miller made the most of her three hits, picking up a double and home run, scoring three runs and knocking in five to finish with a .333 batting average. A recent Iowa Central Community College commit, Miller, with continued work on her skill set, will develop more patience at the plate, allowing herself to get into good hitters counts during her at bats.

Kaitlyn Anderson (2025 Henry, IL) is a L/R Catcher/3B for tournament finalist Starved Rock Bandits. Anderson, another Bandit that is currently an Illinois Valley Community College athlete, sets up in a slightly open stance, sitting into her legs displaying a very athletic base. Utilizing a stride to transfer weight, generate momentum and for timing, Anderson does a good job of keeping her front side closed, and not opening up as she worked exclusively up middle, and opposite field in picking up five hits that included a homerun. She scored two runs and knocked in four to finish the day hitting at a .556 clip.

Lizzie Camp (2028 Douds, IA) is a RHH/RHP for Van Buren Tribe 16U. Setting up in an athletic stance, the 5 foot 10 inch Camp can be an intimidating figure in the batters box, and from her work this weekend, she showed pitchers they have something to worry about. Only managing four at bats on the day, Camp finished with three hits and a walk, a 1.000 batting average, with two doubles and a home run. Although previously showing up on our top performers list as a pitcher, Camp is showing that she can be an accomplished two-way player as she advances through age division play.

Skylar Peterson (2026 Muscatine, IA) is a RHP for Monsters18u-Chick. Peterson, no stranger to our top performers list, continues to show hitters a six pitch mix of fastball, change-up, rise, drop, curve and screw, while topping out at 63 mph. On a day that she appeared to not have her best stuff, Peterson was still able to manage  striking out 16 in her 9.1 innings of work. She did give up 11 hits and six walks, which helped contribute to her allowing eight earned runs to finish with a 6.00 ERA and 1.82 WHIP. The recent Indian Hills Community College commit did have the daunting task of facing two very good hitting teams on the day, in eventual tournament runners up and champions, that helped to inflate her numbers.

Sophia Hillebrand (2026 Bettendorf, IA) is another RHP for Monsters 18u-Chick. Hillebrand shows  hitters a consistent motion and delivery, utilizing a good lower half in the drive phase with equally good arm whip. Going to work with a simple four pitch bag of fastball, change-up, rise and drop, Hillebrand pitches to both sides of the plate, from  top to bottom in the zone, while topping out at 59 mph. In her six innings of work, she struck out 12, allowed six hits, walked one, and gave up two earned runs to finish with a 2.30 ERA and 1.17 WHIP. A recent Mount Mercy University commit, Hillebrand can be successful at the next level if she continues to work on hitting her spots and keeping hitters off balance with movement.

Hannah Chardoulias (2029 Voorhies, IA) is a RHP for the Eastern Iowa Vipers. This young lady, standing 5 foot 10 inches tall, with long levers, held her own against some very tough competition. Chardoulias, working with a four pitch mix of fastball, change-up, rise and drop curve, sat down 11 batters via strike out in her five innings of work. Topping out at 59 mph, Chardoulias kept hitters off balance by spotting her fastball throughout the zone and changing speed with her change-up and drop curve. She gave up five hits, two walks and one earned run to finish with a 1.40 ERA and 1.40 WHIP.  With continued work on her craft, and improved use of her lower half in the drive phase, this young lady has more in the tank and would be a good next level follow over the next few years.
