Layton Shelley is a 2027 MIF/RHP/C with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Haslet, TX who attends V R Eaton. Medium size frame. Ran a 7.60 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder with fundamental footwork to the baseball, average glove actions, clean funnel, developing lateral range and developing arm strength. Hit from an open stance with an inside bat path, opposite field approach, developing sync to backside rotation and developing strength in the swing. Showed fastball and slider on the mound, ran the fastball up to 79 with some arm side life and a slider that showed late horizontal bite. Projects well on the mound. Very good student.
