Grant Benefield is a 2026 RHP/C, 1B, OF with a 6-1 152 lb. frame from Lilburn, GA who attends Parkview. Features a slender build with room to add. Primary right-handed pitcher. Shows good athleticism down the mound. Stays on a direct line to the plate. Throws from a high 3/4 slot with a long, clean arm path. Fastball got up to 83 mph. Projects well for more velocity down the line. Pairs it with a curveball in the mid-60’s. Can spin the offering well, recorded spin rates over 2300 rpm. Still developing overall control of both offerings. Projectable arm overall. Worked out in the outfield and at catcher. Charges it hard in the outfield with good intent throughout. Present glove early. Arm strength translates to the position, reaching 85 mph during workouts. Uses a high setup behind the plate. Replaces feet well out of crouch. Still developing quickness throughout the transfer. Recorded a 2.21 pop time. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an even base stance with a lower hand setup. Swings with plenty of intent, showing quality hand speed. Looks to drive balls to the pullside. Will find barrels more consistently as timing continues to be refined. Ran a 7.02 60-yard dash. Excellent student.
