Elijah Schmolke is a 2030 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Mooresville, NC who attends Lake Norman. A bigger frame and medium build, with a taller look. High-waisted with room to keep filling out moving forward. Projectable build. Ran an 8.20 60-yard dash. Primary infielder with some feel for the actions at shortstop. He showed some arm speed during his round, with strength and carry across the diamond to the target. He was athletic in his movements and showed feel for the position overall, throwing 79 mph across the diamond during his round. Took BP as a left-handed hitter with an open base, lower back elbow, and hands tight to the body. He had some whip to the barrel and a feel to throw the barrel head and stay on it. He was whippy with the barrel and able to stay compact and quick to contact. He had some bat speed and impacted the ball well during his round with liners to the middle of the field. Took a good round of BP overall. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher, working from the middle of the rubber, with a knee-to-core leg lift, loose arm through the back, and loose shoulder. He landed on-line with the plate and had a shorter stride working downhill, using tall-and-fall back leg mechanics. He had a three-quarters release. He showed a fastball working 76-79 mph on the fastball. He showed two breaking ball shapes, with a 12-6 shaped curveball around 60 mph, showing a more slurvy lateral slider in the upper-60s. He had a good changeup in in the upper-60s with good depth and some fade. He had a ton of actions to like on the mound, with projectable stuff and a great outing overall. Named to 2025 14u PG Main Event TP List.
