Antonio Chavez is a 2027 SS/RHP with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends IMG Academy. Medium athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, sets up in a medium straight stance with a deep hand load and short stride into contact, easy low tension swing with some bat speed, middle of the field line drive approach, flashed the ability to turn on the ball and create some lift, projectable hitting tools as he continues to get stronger. 7.06 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has good footwork and works behind and under the ball, charges it well, can get the glove down sooner to his back hand, playable arm strength at present. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
