Griffin Loy is a 2026 RHP/1B with a 6-5 220 lb. frame from Nancy, KY who attends Somerset. Big and strong build with some physical projection remaining. Works from a big rocker step delivery with good arm speed. Fastball was consistently in the low 90's and mostly straight. Threw two distinct hard breaking balls, curveball had nice sweeping depth, slider had a short and late break with sharp bite and 2800+ rpm spin, had nice command of both breaking balls. Outstanding student, verbal commitment to Virginia.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
