LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2003 World Showcase
Pruitt, Braedyn- We’ve seen Pruitt a few times before and he has always impressed us. We’ve had him on our high-level follow list for 3 years. At this year’s PG World Showcase, he stepped it up a notch. Now that we’ve seen first-hand what we suspected all along, we can only wonder-are the top college programs trying to recruit him? In Ft. Myers at the World Showcase, Pruitt looked very much a top college or draft prospect as a 3B. He ran a little under MLB average 60 but it was on a slow, soft track. We think he’s close to an average runner. His arm is MLB average. He’s got nice soft hands and outstanding body control. He made several big-league caliber plays in Ft. Myers. He has a great feel for the 3B position. Probably his number one tool is his hitting ability. He’s got a real nice, tension-free lefthanded swing. The ball really jumps off his bat and he may very well turn out to be a big HR hitter at the next level. He has a very good baseball body, looks good in a uniform, and there is still room for projection. Pruitt is a top student and will have no problem qualifying at any college. Look for him to make some noise down the road. This kid can play and very much looks the part!
