Bryson McNew is a 2027 C/UT with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Albright, WV who attends Preston. Long, projectable frame with solid current muscularity and plenty of room to continue to add overall physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.44 seconds. Primary position catcher, with a sound, well-balanced initial setup and good actions with the glove. Quick midline transfer getting in good position to throw. Could gain a bit of ground in transition but the arm really plays. Strong, accurate arm with feeds up to 77 mph on pop-time best 2.00 seconds. Performed well in game action, showing nice feel for the spot. RHH working from a medium, slightly open start and using a small hanging leg lift trigger to get moving. Good handset with bigger bat tilt and some length in the front arm pre-pitch as he loads before launch. Real hand strength and collected multiple hits in game action including a double down the left field line. Comprehensive skillset behind the dish and an elite performer in the classroom as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
