2025 PG Midwest Indoor Showcase
Eli Dreier is a 2027 3B/RHP with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Brookfield, WI who attends Wisconsin Lutheran. Bigger frame and build with present physicality and strength throughout. Projects well. Ran a 7.37 60-yard dash. Primary thrid baseman who worked out on the infield with good strength across, throwing 81 mph with feel to create good carry across the diamond. He presents the backhand early and works into a longer arm action with an extended-release. He moved well and showed a good feel for the glove -- displaying softer hands with a quicker release. Took BP as a right-handed hitter with a slightly open setup and a bigger body in the stance. He stays balanced with a feel to work back through the middle of the field. He had some feel for the barrel, lifting well. Stays behind it well and the obvious hand speed and bat speed allow for some good swings. Physical and strong with plenty to like. Impacted well and was able to drive the ball through the middle of the field. Found barrels throughout BP and impacted it with good strength off of it. Also hit well in-game with a couple of well-struck barrels. Produced an 84 mph exit velocity during PG DK Testing. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher with a bigger frame and build, a physical righty who works from the wind-up. He has a sidestep into the leg lift at the waist with some coil to it, showing a longer arm action through the back, with a real fluid and loose arm action working through it. He has a loose shoulder, creating some whip to it, moving really well working downhill. He throws from an extended three-quarters arm slot. The fastball has some carry & ride to it, working 84-87 T88 mph, spinning above 2,200 RPMs. He had a 12-6 shaped curveball in the mix as well, at 69 mph with spin just above 2,000 RPMs. He had sharp biting depth to it. The CH has some fade as well, up to 81 mph with spin down into the 1500s. He mixed pitches well and produced a really solid outing top-to-bottom. Plenty to like and project on moving forward.
