Matthew Pond is a 2026 3B/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Fort Mill, SC who attends Legion Collegiate Academy. Ran a 6.98 60-yard dash. Strong and athletic build. Primary third baseman on defense, moves well laterally and shows athleticism, plenty of arm strength. Also played the outfield, attacks the ball hard and works through it, throws were strong and accurate with some carry. Left handed hitter at the plate, starts from an open stance, turns the barrel hard through the zone, hits the ball out in front with some strength in hands, shows real pull side power, likes the ball low in the zone, has physical projection left in his bat. Outstanding student. Named to the PG National Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.
