Joey Burke is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Mooresville, NC who attends Cannon. Medium build with lots of room to get stronger. Works from a closed stretch start on the mound, high arm takeaway, lands closed out front with his lower half, 3/4's arm slot, tends to open early with his front side. Fastball worked in the low 70's and topped out at 73 mph, gets some running action at times. Threw both a slider and a curveball with emphasis on the curveball, tends to pitch away from contact with all his pitches, can challenge more in the strike zone. 8.26 runner in the sixty. Plays the outfield when not on the mound. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow stance with a high hand set start, downhill swing plane with middle of the field contact. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
