Josue Trinidad Rivera is a 2029 SS/3B with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends Perkiomen School. Tall and lean athletic build, very projectable physically. Ran a 6.95 60-yard dash. Took BP as a right-handed hitter, with a longer and lengthy swing working through contact. He had a wider base with a toe tap trigger working into it. He had a functional swing on display, with feel to be on the barrel the whole time. He took one of the better rounds of BP at the event and was able to impact the baseball to all parts of the yard and stay on the barrel. Projectable bat-to-ball and impact ability shown from the right-hander. Present bat speed and good feel to repeat the swing. Produced a 93 mph exit velocity during PG DK Testing. Worked out as an infielder, with athleticism shown during his round. He moved around well, with some feel for the angles, softer hands, and a feel to change slots and adjust on the fly. He had a round of game-like throws at 82 mph across the diamond. He picked the ball well, with a carry across the diamond, and showed the traits of a shortstop. Very good student. Named to the PG National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Presented by GEICO Top Prospect List.
