Clay Gadbois is a 2024 RHP/SS with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Saint Anne, IL who attends Kankakee. Long and lean athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. Primary right handed pitcher, works from a side step delivery, sinks into his hips well over the rubber well and gets into his hips coming down the mound, medium length arm takeaway with a high 3/4's arm slot coming through. Worked up to 84 mph on his fastball with good running life a times, worked very aggressively with his fastball and threw it for strikes early in counts. Also worked with a soft downer curveball and fading change up. 6.90 runner in the sixty. Plays infield when not on the mound, has good glove work at the ball and has active feet that get into position well, throws from lower arm slots well. Right handed hitter, has a simple and repeatable swing approach and consistently got the barrel out front and squared up on time, swings hard, has some lift in his swing, projectable swing that will keep improving as he adds physical strength. Good athlete who will keep improving in all areas in proportion to how much stronger he gets. Good student. Named to the Great Lakes Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
