Victor A. Corniel is a 2026 SS/2B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Philadelphia, PA who attends Archbishop Ryan. A wiry and athletic build with a more lean frame. Projectable frame and build. Ran a 6.94 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder with athletic traits working to the ball, showing some footwork on the approach. He threw from an over-the-top slot with some accuracy across the diamond, throwing 84 mph to first. He showed urgency and was able to attack it well during his round of defensive throws. Took BP as a right-handed hitter with higher-set hands, a high back elbow, and a slightly open & wider stance. He had an inside path with a quick launch and feel to impact it with some jump off of it. He was able to show some feel for the barrel with hand quickness and bat speed to work gap-to-gap during his round of BP swings. Showed some strength off of it, and he produced an 82 mph exit velocity during DK Testing. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher, working from the wind-up with slight drop-and-drive mechanics working down the slope. He had some intent behind the move downhill, pitching from a higher three-quarters arm slot, showing some arm speed. He was up to 79 mph on the fastball with spin above 2,000 RPMs. He also showed a slider in the mid-60s with a feel to spin it above 2,100 RPMs and show some tilt to it. He flashed the slider early in counts and attacked the lower quadrants of the zone during his outing on the mound. Excellent Student. Named to 2024 National Underclass Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
