Davis Murphy is a 2027 OF/RHP/SS with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Fanwood, NJ who attends Scotch Plains Fanwood. Big and strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, sets up in a straight stance with a compact hand load and a simple stride into contact, has fast hands and present bat speed, creates leverage and drove the ball hard to both gaps, nice hitting tools to continue to develop. 4.72 runner in the forty. Primary outfielder on defense, comes and gets the ball aggressively, effort release on his throws and tends to work uphill, arm strength stands out but needs fundamentals to make it functional. Also pitched, works exclusively from the stretch with a high and compact leg raise, compact arm in back with a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball sat in the low 80's with some riding life through the zone. Curveball was a good pitch with late 11/5 bite and good power. Threw strikes with both pitches and has some projection on the mound. Excellent student. Named to the PG Northeast Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List
