Markus Chandler is a 2027 3B/RHP/2B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends Westside. Medium athletic build with some present strength. 6.90 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, circles the backhand well and shows athletic lower half actions, throws well on the move and has arm strength from lower slots, generates more carry on top, no real reason this can't play in the middle infield for a while athletically and action-wise. Right handed hitter, sets up in a wide base with a slightly open front side, simple load and stride that keeps him on time, hands work well and creates bat speed, worked gap to gap and flashed some lift. Took a turn on the mound, has a high leg raise and coil delivery with a full arm swing in back, some deception coming down the mound and with his slot. Fastball was in the mid-80's and topped out at 87 mph, threw both a slider and curveball with hard spin and some bite, more a reliever profile at present but has definite arm talent. Good student.
