2023 Fall Midwest Workout Showcase
Payton Hall is a 2024 1B/3B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Ogden International. A taller frame with a thicker lower half and bigger frame. Ran a 7.36 60-yard dash. Primary corner infielder who worked out with deliberate actions and a quicker release. He gets rid of it quickly, with some speed to his actions. Threw 79 mph across the diamond as a first baseman and 77 mph across as a shortstop. He fields it in front of the body with simple and fluid feeds. Showed some athleticism overall during the defensive workout. Moved well off the bag. He's a right-handed hitter who rotates well with the ability to lift well with lower-set hands as he sets up. He had a closed front foot. He impacted pretty well, leaving the yard during his round of BP swings. He had the strength to work through it and drive the ball, lifting out front, with his best contact coming working pull-side. Had some quickness to his hands, with a wrapped barrel as he sets up. Produced an 80 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Good student.
