Zaiden Rosario is a 2028 C/RHP/3B with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Lorain, OH who attends Marion L Steele. Features a medium-sized compact build. Ran a 7.53 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed developing actions. Showed light feet that play more direct to the baseball. Solid glovework, fielding most clean at reception. Played through his forehand GBs well and sat back a bit on his backhand GBs. A tad tall with his upperhalf fielding posture. Flashed some above avg. arm strength across with accuracy combined with getting it out the glove quick. Behind the plate, operated from a taller side-saddle set up where he was out of his legs at reception. Intent to catch it out front and gain a ton of ground. Lower-half quickness is there. Compact/efficient transfer, bobbled one but worked fast in getting the ball out. Arm showed more avg. strength here with most not getting to 2nd on the fly. At the plate, sits in a medium base and uses a heel turn trigger. Minimal waisted movements where the barrel starts and stays in a flatter launch on his shoulder. Not much weight transfer, a bit stuck on his backside. Avg. bat speed for his level. Hands threw a short/direct barrel through the zone producing a majority of GBs the other way with a couple LDs when he caught it a bit more out front. Just an overall more contact oriented approach. On the mound, worked balanced into his belt high lift where he came down easy with some quick/late rotation into footplant. More of an east/west rotator. Slightly closed at landing with avg. length stride. More compact arm action out the glove that works to a normal 3/4 slot. Ran the FB up to 82 that displayed some natural running action to all parts of the zone where he showed solid control of it. Mixed in a shorter breaker with some tilt in the upper 60s, T70.
