2023 Minnesota Indoor Showcase
Jonah Ludens is a 2026 1B/LHP with a 6-5 220 lb. frame from Excelsior, MN who attends Minnetonka. Big physical frame. Primary first baseman, moves well for the age/size, gets to a consistent fielding position, showed some glove actions, not much range at present and a strong arm with improving accuracy. Left-handed hitter hit from a medium base. Big strength over bat speed in the swing, pull side approach, pulls head off the ball, length to the uphill path to the baseball and developing feel for the barrel. Showed a three pitch-mix on the mound. Slight arm side run to the fastball that topped at 81, curveball popped out of the hand and had some depth and feel for spin. Developing change up with velocity separation off the other two offerings. Threw a quick competitive inning on the mound.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
