Max Malmstrom is a 2029 OF/LHP with a 6-0 162 lb. frame from Jefferson City, MO who attends Helias. Solid athletic build with good strength for his age. 7.16 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, works through the ball well, fields it off to the side, as some idea in his fundamental foot work and maintains his momentum through his throws, longer arm stroke, makes accurate soft throws. Right handed hitter, gets into his lower half well, has a short and compact uphill swing and is looking to lift the ball, power will come with the adult strength. Also pitched, has a tall delivery with a short stride out front, doesn't tend to get over his front side, long and loose arm action from a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 77 mph with good arm side running life that got off barrels. Slider had some sweep across the zone and showed some feel for his change up. Threw strikes with all his pitches and was effective.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
