Cole Krokus is a 2028 MIF/RHP/3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Virginia Beach, VA who attends Floyd Kellam. Lean medium athletic build with room to get stronger. 7.59 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense with light feet and moving well to the backhand side. Flashing some arm strength and accurate from a low slot. Chest gets down with an early glove. Under control footwork and some actions. Also threw on the mound. The right-handed pitcher works from the middle of the rubber into a moderate side-step with a chest-high leg lift and a longer, in-line stride down the mound. The hands start at the face before dropping to the letters and rising back up to the shoulders before separating into a long takeaway before releasing from a high over-the-top angle. Gets downhill tilt and works downhill well. In the zone well and getting swing and miss with weak contact while working down in the zone for the best success. The fastball (2317 RPM) was up to 84. Mixed in a curveball (2440 RPM) with two-plane break and bigger break as the outing went on. Right-handed hitter starts from an even base with tight hands and a low back elbow. Rotational lower half and creates some separation with quick hands. Projectable actions in the swing. Excellent student. Exciting player with a ton to like on the mound.
