Jay Gonzalez is a 2010 OF with a 5'11'', 180 lb. frame from Orlando, FL. Very athletic frame with present strength. Ran a 6.62 in the 60 yard dash and plays even faster. A left handed hitter with a simple swing mechanics. He has a slightly open set up with a heel turn load. Stays short to the ball and has extremely quick hands. He showed good bat speed and balance with a swing plane that produces hard line drives. In the outfield he has very smooth athletic actions. Topped out at 85 mph in the workout with online accurate throws. He moves very well to the ball and has plus range. High level player on both sides of the ball.
