Jerry McClanahan is a 2010 C/1B with a 6'1'', 190 lb. frame from Temple City, CA who attends Bishop Amat HS. Strong athletic build, failry mature. Open to closed hitting approach, line drive swing, hits to all fields, shows ability to wait back on off speed, has some bat speed, good idea/approach. Strong arm, quick clean release, will throw behind runners, good game awareness, stands up to throw at times, receives well, mature receiver, also showed athleticism for corner IF spots. Needs to be followed. Excellent student.
