Chase Grigonis is a 2028 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Wheaton, IL who attends St. Francis. Big and strong physical build. 7.90 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, showing an arm that tops at 83 with accurate carry across the diamond. Glove work is steady out front, and overall infield actions show a solid foundation with footwork continuing to trend in the right direction, especially on the backhand. On the mound, works from the stretch with a smooth drop-and-drive delivery into a three-quarter slot, and fastball life shows at 80-83. Curveball has 11/5 shape and was effective when staying on top of it, and the changeup showed some fade with feel to keep hitters off the fastball. Right-handed hitter with an upright, slightly open setup and strength in the hands, producing line-drive contact gap-to-gap with plenty of opposite-field carry, and turned on a ball for a home run to left field during this look. Named to the PG Chicago Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List. Outstanding student.
