David Diamant is a 2028 RHP/IF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Olympia, WA who attends Olympia. Smaller young build. Works from a side step delivery with a mid-chest leg raise, gets into his lower half well coming down the mound, full loose arm action to a 3/4's arm slot, tends to pull off early into his release. Fastball was in the low 80's and topped out at 83 mph, gets some run and sink on it. Showed nice sweeping depth on his slider especially when he maintained his direction through release. Killed the spin on his change up well. 4.97 runner in the forty. Secondary infielder on defense, waits back on the ball, fields the ball cleanly with good fundamental glove actions, stays balanced and moves his feet well. solid young arm strength across and made accurate throws. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium slightly open base with a rock back load and toe tap timer, hits down and through the ball with some developing hand speed, swing projects with additional strength. Good student. Named to the PG Northwest Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
