Bryce Baxa is a 2028 C/RHP/3B with a 6-2 230 lb. frame from Yorkville, IL who attends Yorkville. Extra big and strong physical build, especially for a 2028 player. Right handed hitter, sets up in a straight stance with a leg raise timer, stays compact and connected well, is very strong and creates bat speed and pump off the barrel, good fundamental swing approach to continue to build on. 7.01 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up one knee down with on line footwork into his throws, quick transfers, longer arm action with a slower release but makes up for it big arm strength and accurate throws. Took a turn on the mound, has a compact arm action and high 3/4's arm slot, well controlled delivery and repeats it well. Fastball topped out at 81 mph and lived down in the zone with heavy sink. Change up was his best secondary pitch and was effective against left handed hitter, also threw a short soft slider. Good student. Named to the PG National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
