Micah Kovacs is a 2026 OF/RHP/3B with a 6-4 223 lb. frame from Temecula, CA who attends Rancho Christian. Very big and physical build with lots of present strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread straight stance, rotational swing that gets into his strong lower half well, simple well-timed trigger, has quick hands and bat speed, hits to all fields with some impact to the gaps, lived on the barrel in the games with multiple hard base hits. Runs very well for his size, 6.76 in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has step by step actions to the ball, fields the ball cleanly out front, limited momentum into his throws, has more arm strength than he showed with improved footwork. Also pitched, has a tall delivery, mostly upper half generated, compact arm action with a 3/4's arm slot, low effort release. Fastball was mostly in the upper 70's and topped out at 84 mph early, fastball had lots of cutting action and was thrown for strikes, cutting action was a weapon for him. Slider was a good pitch with similar sharpness and more depth. Also threw a slow curveball as more of a change up. Can take the next step as a pitcher with some delivery adjustments. Good student with a verbal commitment to Biola University. Named to the PG Northern California HS All-State Games Top Prospect List.
