Alain Gomez-Gudiño is a 2026 C with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Saguaro. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. Switch-hitter at the plate with much better present swing and bat speed from the left side. Has loose hands from the left side with big bat speed, lots of impact with a whippy barrel and loud contact, lived on the barrel in the games with hard contact to all fields. Sets up more spread on the right side, has a compact stroke and flashes power but a full grade plus better left-handed. 7.27 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has athletic actions with very fast hands and a quick release, shifts and receives well. Well rounded tools for a young catcher. Good student. Verbal commitment to South Carolina. Selected to play in the 2025 Perfect Game All-American Classic.
