Ivan Magdaleno is a 2027 C/RHP/2B with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Elgin, IL who attends Elgin. Smaller compact build with some strength to build on. Ran a 8.18 60-yard dash. On the mound, worked from a full windup with a simple move and a belt-high leg lift. Drop-and-drive delivery and comes through a high 3/4 slot, hides it well and stays around the plate. Fastball was 75-79 mph T79. Mixed a 66 mph breaking ball with slurvy shape and 12-6 depth at times. Worked in the infield with average footwork and a shorter, compact release from a 3/4 slot, showed some whip and made the routine plays, posted 79 mph across the infield. Behind the plate, one-knee setup with on-line footwork and a clean exchange, pop time was 1.94 with 75 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter with a spread stance and minimal leg lift trigger, short path with the ability to get on plane and extend through contact, used the whole field with line drive contact and showed strength off the barrel. Good student. Named to the PG Chicago Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
