Lucas Dunn is a 2026 RHP/SS with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Nashville, IL who attends Nashville Comm. Slender athletic build with room to get stronger. Works from a side step delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot, whippy arm action with good arm speed, repeated his arm slot and release point well on all his pitches and had some deception. Fastball was in the mid-80's and topped out at 86 mph, nice riding action up in the zone. Advanced ability to spin the ball, threw both a curveball and slider with distinct shapes, curveball had sharp vertical break with 2800+ rpm spin rates, slider was more horizontal but still spun hard. Still developing his change but other pitches indicate this should happen with repetitions. 6.97 runner in the sixty. Plays shortstop when not on the mound, quick mover with active feet and some range, comes through the ball aggressively, can get off balance at times, arm is whippy and strong and accurate, showed his arm strength well. Right handed hitter, has solid bat speed from a spread stance, will over stride at times and get downhill, best when he's staying back and driving the ball to the pull side. Outstanding student. Named to the PG National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
