Bren Smith is a 2030 RHP/1B/3B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Ellsinore, MO who attends East Carter Co. Larger, physical frame for his age. Recorded an 8.50 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked from an abbreviated windup with good lower half engagement and low-effort down the slope into release. Fastball worked in the mid-70s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 78 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Tons of strike with minimal effort, worked both sides of the plate with the fastball. Will need to add a true secondary option to become fully viable on the mound. Seoncdary infielder with anticipatory footwork into and through the fielding process. Used deliberate footwork to range laterally, displayed a clean funnel and produced accurate throws up to 71 mph. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a tight hand set and leg lift trigger. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics to create bat speed, stays inside the baseball well and used the entire field effectively.
