2025 PG National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Presented by GEICO
Anthony Montelone is a 2029 3B/RHP/2B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Mount Pleasant, SC who attends Wando. Medium athletic build with some strength for his age and more to come. 7.06 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman who also showed good arm strength on the mound. Right-handed pitcher, side steps into a belt high leg lift, works down the mound with plenty of deception to the operation. Arm works to a high three-quarters slot. Fastball worked consistently in the mid-80s with natural run and sink. Third baseman, fielded everything out front with a two-hand funnel, funnels into the midsection, longer arm action and takes time to get the ball out. Has good arm strength, projects at a corner spot, recorded throws up to 86 mph. Right-handed hitter, wider base with wrapped hands, tight turn into contact with quality bat speed and strength that flashed throughout. Impacted out front, generates carry to the pull-side. Strength showed up often. Excellent student. Named to the PG National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Presented by GEICO Top Prospect List.
