2025 PG National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Presented by GEICO
Jake Trask is a 2027 RHP/1B/IF with a 6-3 173 lb. frame from New Minas, NS who attends Kings Edgehill School. Recorded a 7.21 second sixty yard dash time. Tall and slender athletic build with lots of room to fill in and get stronger. Primary right-handed pitcher works from a straight over-the-top angle. Lower half moves well. Showed two types of fastball (2400 RPM) with tons of run and was steep and heavy that was mid-to-upper-80s and topped out at 88. Generating tons of swing and miss and was difficult for hitters aren't picked up. Mixed in a curveball (2444 RPM) plays well when in the zone. Flashed a change-up (1882 RPM) to right-handed hitters and mirrors the fastball well. Secondary infielder with long strides and covers ground well and decent accuracy with present arm strength. Right-handed hitter starts from an upright stance with high hands and a high back elbow, utilizes a negative toe-tap trigger. Coordinated with bat speed. Gap-to-gap approach and creates leverage.
