Jamison Sydney is a 2028 C/RHP/UT with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Rumford, RI who attends East Providence. Medium young broad shouldered build with some present strength to keep building on. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a close high hand load and inward leg raise timer, has a pull side approach with some present bat speed and a line drive swing plane, pretty consistent in his timing and path. 5.56 runner in the forty. Primary catcher on defense who worked out all over the field defensively. Sets up square behind the plate, has good fundamental footwork and gains ground into his throws, repeats his actions well, quick and clean transfers, compact arm action with developing arm strength and carry. Showed his best actions and athleticism as a secondary third baseman defensively, has a quick release on his throws and made accurate throws, moved to the ball well. Excellent student. Excellent student. Named to the PG New England Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
