Beau Zeihen is a 2013 OF/C with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Portage, WI who attends Portage HS. Long and lean athletic build, projects to get stronger. Very good runner, 6.73 in the 60, good outfield actions, smooth athleticism, throws carry well. Also catches, athletic actions, receives the ball well, some quickness on release, good arm strength, 1.96 best pop. Right handed hitter, busy load with big leg kick, can simplify a bit and improve weight shift, loose line drive swing, has some bat speed, solid mid field contact, flashes hitting tools. Also pitched, fastball to 81 mph, short curveball at 71 mph, inexperienced mechanics. Interesting athlete, will continue to improve. Good student. Named to the Top Prospect Team.
