Cole Evans is a 2011 RHP/1B with a 6-1 215 lb. frame from Collierville, TN who attends St. George's HS. Extra strong build, wide shoulders and hips. Simple leg raise delivery, repeats well, long extended arm action, high 3/4's release, tends to open early and lose leverage. Consistent mid 80's fastball, have seen up to 89 mph in the past, mostly straight, good feel for low 70's curveball, big sweeping 10/4 break, occasional change up, shows good feel for throwing strikes. Shows some raw bat speed/strength at the plate, ball carries well on contact, tends to lunge to contact, could improve with adjustments. Athletic actions at first base, 7.54 runner. Very good student, signed with Kentucky.
