Brendan Long is a 2012 RHP/OF, IF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Naples, FL who attends Barron Collier. Long build with athleticism, strength, and projection. Compact arm action, 3/4 slot. Hides the ball well. Shows arm strength with some effort. Fastball velocity was consistent and pitch some arm side run. Feel for three pitches including 12/6 curveball that flashed very good break and a straight changeup. Long arm action in outfield, some effort, but showed good arm strength with carry. Upright swing at the plate, lets the ball travel and lets hands get to it. Hands are strong and he showed consistent line drive contact. Good student.
