2005 World Showcase
Miguel Alicea is a 2005 outfielder from Caguas, Puerto Rico, with a lean and athletic 5'10" frame. Alicea has pure arm strength (91OF) with a very quick arm and good accuracy. At the plate he hits with an open stance and little stride. He has quiet hands with good bat speed that produces line drives. Alicea made solid contact, and was not over matched when he faced 90-93 mph fastballs. His speed (6.89) and arm strength will allow him to play any outfield spot. Alicea is very projectable and his best baseball is ahead of him.
